In which the Author laughs hysterically and isn't sure if that's bad...

[I must apologize; being on library-time, I had only a few minutes to write this, and thus didn't proof-read it. So just smile and ignore all grammatical errors, please. :) ]

Gotta love being in transition from house to house. I've been without immediate Internet access for... well, quite sometime. But, I was pleased to discover, life goes on without checking my facebook account every ten minutes. ;) However, the library has been most gracious in compensating for that loss. Only problem... now I have a strict time limit. So I shall attempt to fill you in on the goings-on and randomosity of my life right now.

Check that... I only have about two minutes, so I will just say the *one* thing I am incredibly excited about... The story goes like this...

Thursday:Auditions for a (homeschool) production of "Anne of Green Gables." I knew two other actors there- plus my little brother, who I convinced to audition as well-in the audition room, which was reassuring. The auditions consisted of cold readings, which has its pros and cons, I suppose...but that's another subject for when I have more time. ;)

Friday: WAITING. Well, not exactly. We were told that if we made it in, we would receive a call by Saturday before 5:00

Saturday: As fate would have it... we attended a BEAUTIFUL wedding at two o'clock that afternoon. I really did try to focus on the wedding as much as I could, but there was always that little irritation in the back of my mind that wouldn't go away. We left the church to bring my little brother to a friend's house (he had no desire to go to the wedding reception. I didn't really blame him ;) ). While we were dropping him off, my mother started going through her cell phone messages. Immediately, I recognized the voice on the other end. I couldn't make out what precisely she was saying, but from the way my mother looked at me, I knew it was the director. I was literally on the edge of my seat, straining to catch anything- and failing most miserably. I heard my mother laugh out loud, the hugest grin on her face. When she clicked her phone off, I begged and implored her to tell me what the director said! My mother toyed with me for quite awhile (okay, maybe it was only thirty seconds. it felt like an eternity).. I assure you, it was pure torture. After a little bit, she said something to the effect of, "HAaaaaahahaha, no, I really can't tell you- Just listen to the message!" So, after going through her FOURTEEN other saved messages, she put the phone to my ear. At first it was the typical, "Hello, this is so and so concerning thus and thus.....(etc)" I was bouncing on my seat. Literally. "Anyway, I would like Troy (my little brother) to play the part of Jimmy Glover and Reverend Bentley. Both are smaller roles, but still fun, (etc......)" Well, I was EXTREMELY overjoyed that my brother had made it (not that I had a doubt that he would)" "..and I would like Theresa (me, in case that wasn't clear) to play the part of-" the words couldn't go fast enough. I don't think I was even on my seat anymore. "Josie Pye." SHUT THE FRONT DOOR. Ask anyone in my family, it's the part I wanted More than any other part in the play- which sounds odd, I know, her being a complete snob and such... One more thing- is it bad that the director then burst out laughing, and said something to the effect of, "Ahaha, she'll be the perfect Josie!"... or is it worse that I'm ridiculously excited in spite of that? :)
